See Scotland in a day on The Original Loch Ness Tour! This popular day tour allows you to discover the wonder of Loch Ness and the breathtaking scenery of Glen Coe.
Check in at 0745 for departure at 0800 from our tour shop at 87 High Street on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh. We head north past Stirling Castle to Kilmahog for a short morning coffee stop and a chance to spot Hamish and Honey, Kilmahog’s resident Highland cows. We travel through Rob Roy country and Rannoch Moor to arrive at Glen Coe, the infamous site of the 1692 massacre. At Glen Coe we stop for a photo opportunity and a chance to bask in the magnificence of the weeping glen.
We then continue to Fort William and stop for an hour at Spean Bridge for lunch. From here, we go onwards along the Caledonian Canal to Loch Ness.
Our coaches are specially designed for enhanced comfort throughout your tour with extensive leg room, reclining seats, air conditioning, elevated view point, free wifi, charging points and an onboard toilet. To get the most out of your experience, we highly recommend visiting Urquhart Castle and taking a short cruise on the loch.* You’ll have approximately one hour to explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle and its Visitor Centre then you’ll enjoy a one hour cruise on Loch Ness.The cost is £19 for an adult and £15 for a child. This is an optional add-on to our tour and can only be bought during the tour with cash from your guide.
On the return journey we pass Inverness and travel south through the stunning Perthshire countryside towards the world famous Forth Rail Bridge and back to Edinburgh.
The tour ends at Waterloo Place, near Waverley Train Station at approximately 2030.
