Loch Lomond, the Kelpies and Stirling Castle Tour

Discover the gems of Scotland’s central belt in this guided coach tour from Edinburgh. You’ll discover the stunning ‘Queen of the lochs’ Loch Lomond, as well as the mythical Kelpies and historic Stirling Castle.
You will arrive to check in at our tour shop at 87 High Street on the Royal Mile at 0845 for a 0900 departure. We travel west to our first stop – the world’s largest equine sculptures – the iconic Kelpies. There is ample time for photos with these mythical sea horses. We journey on to Loch Lomond and the village of Balmaha near Ben Lomond to spend an hour taking in the spectacular landscape.
The tour travels onward to Aberfoyle, known as the Highlands in miniature, where you can have lunch and explore the Trossachs National Park. We drive on to nearby Doune Castle, famous as a filming location for Outlander and set of Winterfell Castle in Game of Thrones for a photo stop.
We spend a couple of hours in the afternoon at Stirling old town, home to the legendary Stirling Castle. Stirling Castle, once a residence for the Scottish monarchy has been restored in recent years. You can explore the castle for yourself and learn about the exploits of William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Mary Queen of Scots. Admission to Stirling Castle is an optional extra at a cost of £16 for an adult and £9.60 for a child.
We return to Edinburgh and you are dropped at Waterloo Place, near Waverly Train Station at 1830.
