Glasgow to Loch Ness Tour
Duration: 12 hours (approx)
See Scotland in a day! This new tour brings to you the wonder of Loch Ness and the breathtaking scenery of Glen Coe.
Check in with your driver at 0745 for departure at 0800 from 266 George Street, Glasgow (G1QX). From Glasgow we travel north along the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.*
You can sit back, relax and see Scotland’s highland highlights from the comfort of our luxury coach. Our coach has extensive leg room, reclining seats, air conditioning, elevated view points, free wifi, charging points and onboard toilet facilities. All our coaches are fully accessible. Please let our team know in advance if you have additional requirements and we will do our utmost to meet these.
We journey through Rob Roy country to arrive at Glen Coe, the infamous site of the 1692 massacre. Here we stop for 10 minutes to basque in the majesty of the Three Sisters and capture some of Scotland’s best views. We continue to Fort William, stopping for an hour at Spean Bridge for lunch. From here, we go onwards along the Caledonian Canal to Loch Ness.
We highly recommend visiting Urquhart Castle and taking a short cruise on the loch.* You’ll have approximately one hour to explore the ancient castle and its Visitor Centre then you’ll enjoy a one hour cruise on Loch Ness. The cost is £19 for an adult and £15 for a child. This is an optional add-on to our tour and can only be bought during the tour with cash from your guide.
Alternatively, spend time exploring the charming village of Drumnadrochit, a popular spot for Nessie hunters.
On the return journey we pass Inverness and travel south through Perthshire, past the historic city of Stirling and arrive to Glasgow at approximately 1930 – 2000. You will be dropped off back at 266 George Street where the tour began.
*We occasionally amend this route to travel north via Kilmahog rather than Loch Lomond.
