A Taste of Scotland & Loch Katrine - 1 Day Tour

Crossing the River Forth with views to the famous Forth Rail Bridge we head to Dunfermline, the Birthplace of Andrew Carnegie and old capital of Scotland. We visit the ancient Abbey, where Robert the Bruce is buried. We then drive through rolling countryside to Dourne Castle, one of the best preserved 14th Century medieval castles in Scotland. This was the set for the film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", and the series "Games of Thrones" and "Outlander" based on Diana Gabaldon.

After a photo stop we make our way to Loch Katrine. Here you will have the opportunity to have lunch and cruise on the loch to experience the magnificent scenery of the Trossachs National Park. Alternatively there are other activities such as bike hire or walking alongside the loch. After this beauty spot we driver through the Trossachs stopping for pictures.

On our way home we stop at Linlithgow Palace. This famous royal residence is steeped in Scottish history.
