The Scottish Borders & Abbeys - 1 Day Tour
The area you are about to visit is called "The Borders" steeped in Scottish History and full of charm.
We depart from our office at 87 High Street Edinburgh at 10.00 hours and make our way to spectacular Scott's View, made famous by Sir Walter Scott, for a photo stop. We continue to Jedburgh. Here you will have time for lunch, visit the well known Jedburgh Abbey and Mary Queen of Scots' 16th century house.
After lunch we travel to Melrose, a typical Borders town. Melrose Abbey dates from 1133 and is the resting place of Robert the Bruce's Heart. Time is available to visit the Abbey and shop or explore Melrose.
After a pleasant day viewing the stunning rolling countryside and taking in the history of this part of Scotland you arrive in Edinburgh at 18.00 hours.
